Makeup brushes are an underestimated tool in some women's makeup collections, but they really make such a huge difference. From buffing out concealer to covering up pores, I've rounded up my favorite makeup brushes that I would definitely buy again. They range in price from $4 to $60, so you can definitely find one that fits your budget. If you have any must-have brushes in your arsenal, feel free to share below! We are all in search of the perfect makeup brush.

  1. Sigma F35 Tapered Highlighter Brush - This brush is so light and fluffy, and applies the perfect subtle highlight. It holds the highlighter really well and gives me such a natural look in the end.
  2. MAC 217 Blending Brush - This is magic in brush form. Even the harshest eyeshadow lines can get buffed out with this brush and it looks so seamless afterward. One of my best purchases I've made in a while.
  3. NARS 41 Diffusing Brush - I was introduced to this brush when I was purchasing NARS concealer and was so impressed with how well it blended it. I like to use it primarily for concealer on my under eyes, and am always amazed at how good it looks when I'm done.
  4. Too Faced Mr. Right Powder Brush - This is of course the cutest brush I have. It comes with a little bow-tie which I sadly lost, but adds a whimsical touch. It works for all kinds of powder too, from foundation to setting powder to bronzer. Definitely not Mr. Wrong!
  5. Real Techniques Setting Brush - This is one of my favorite brushes, and one of the cheapest too! It's sort of a win-win situation. It's great for getting setting powder in the smaller nooks and crannies of your face - particularly under my eyes.
  6. MAC 170 Rounded Slant Brush - This is by far my favorite foundation brush. It blends gorgeously and gives me a nice even layer. However, the biggest downside is that it retains a lot of makeup and it takes a while (and a lot of patience) to clean this brush.
  7. IT Brushes for Ulta Airbrush Precision Shadow Brush 112 - My favorite eyeshadow brush hands down. I've tried so many, but this one is the Goldilocks of them all. The perfect amount of bristles, firmness, and length. A must-have in my opinion.
  8. IT Cosmetics Heavenly Skin Bye Bye Pores Powder Brush - Definitely one of the most expensive (if not most expensive) brush on this list, but well worth it. It covers up pores so well and is so soft! I love to use it with setting powder and powder foundation the most.
  9. Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour Brush - I love the shape of this brush for contouring my cheekbones. I use it primarily for blush and occasionally when I go all out with the contour, but a great brush overall.
