This past weekend was sunny and 70 degrees out, so we took that opportunity to get some blog photos done while my grandparents watched Naomi. It felt good to get some time to ourselves and be outside for a bit! I took the opportunity to wear this gorgeous indigo dress by Sezane, one of my favorite brands.
Now that I’m well into my eighth month of pregnancy (hello 34 weeks!) I feel pretty confident in the pieces that are the best essentials to buy to prepare for your maternity wardrobe. I spent quite some time trying out different brands and styles, as I wanted quality pieces that will stand the test of time, but that I could also wear pregnancy-to-pregnancy or even after I give birth.
I’ve said it before how I don’t tend to invest heavily in trends, but if there is one I’m willing to try I’ll try to find a inexpensive option instead. Keep reading to find some great under-$100 options!
Regardless of your style, graphic tees are a fun addition to any wardrobe. You can dress them up with a skirt (or even a suit!), or add some interest to the basic jeans and tee.
If you haven’t heard of the brand Mango, I highly recommend you try them out. They’re a European brand that’s a bit of a mix between Zara and H&M. They have trendy pieces, but also great basics and at pretty good quality and cost.
I mentioned a few weeks ago on Instagram that I have finally gotten my first denim jacket EVER! For so long I just didn't think a denim jacket fit into my style and I wasn't able to find one that made me feel feminine, yet minimalist. Everlane has recently launched their new denim jacket, and I ordered it on the first day!
In the whole "shoes vs purses" debate, I am firmly in the middle. I honestly don't think I could pick between the two! I love them so equally. I've already professed my love for these shoes here, so today I'll be lovin' on ring handle purses.
The trend of cropped jeans I just knew wouldn't look good on me. Until I found Madewell's updated denim - the love affair continues on. Their new denim has a few new variations - from short to tall to curvy to maternity. I snagged the short version of these cropped bootcut jeans and I am a little obsessed.
Because this is the first outfit post in a long while, you're getting two-for-one. A good basic t-shirt is sometimes an underestimated item of clothing, but when you find one, you never look back. They can be dressed up and down, are easy to wash, flatters everyone, and are easy on the wallet. It's the ultimate wardrobe staple.
I have never liked over-the-knee boots. There, I said it! (seems sacrilegious in the blogging world, doesn't it?? haha) I don't hate them, but they are not something I consider a staple in my closet. I'd throw them into the trend bucket more than anything.
I bought this shirt on a whim during Cyber Week sales, and am shocked at how much I love it! I thought it'd be a cute pattern shirt to add into my work rotation, but it'll be worn a lot more frequently.
A huge trend this season is velvet skinny jeans - especially in rich neutrals and jewel tones. I loved this grey/purple/black color combo and how it could dress up a basic look by adding a luxe vibe. Plus, it's a color that will go with almost anything!
Two of the hottest patterns this season are plaid and herringbone, particularly in outerwear. So of course I was excited because I bought this coat late last winter! I'm so excited that it's back this winter and in two other colors as well.
If there's one pair of booties you need to buy this season, it's this pair by Schutz. I purchased them a bit ago during a sale (as seen here) and wear them with evvverything.
One of the trends I am sooo excited for this fall is the satin skirt! They can be crazy sexy, but can also be dressed down and are work-appropriate.
