Yes, You Can Wear Cropped Bootcut Jeans
Cropped flare or bootcut jeans are more "in" now than they ever have been. It started its reign last year, but I just knew wouldn't look good on me. Until recently when I found Madewell's updated denim (and the love affair continues on...). This isn't an ad or anything, they are just honestly the first brand I knew that could make a pair that would look on a short person like me (I'm 5'2"). Their new denim has a few new variations - from short to tall (to taller) to curvy to maternity. I snagged the short version of these cropped bootcut jeans and I am a *little* obsessed. The flare manages to look classy and laid-back without overwhelming or cutting off my frame. It helps that the flare isn't dramatic, either. I have worn these way more than I expected to because they actually do flatter! I would encourage you to try them if you have been on the edge - they might surprise you! On a different note - I need to tell you guys about these shoes. I was able to snag them using a gift card, and they are perfection. They go with ev-e-ry-thing and are so comfortable with only a 3" heel. I wear them to work all the time now and my feet still feel good by the end of the day. The linkage detail adds a fun element to an otherwise basic heel, too.
