Wearing Drapey Pants to Work + Secret Sale!
It's very appropriate that I'm posting a work outfit today! My employer just announced some possibly big shakeups in the near future, so the office has been all abuzz with rumors. It'll an interesting adventure to say the least!!
Now onto the outfit... You guys. These pants. First off, they're only $35 right now so head here to shop if you're eager! I had been wanting a pair of black, drapey pants that I could wear to work. After searching, I found the J Crew Reese pants during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I loved that they came in petite, so they could fit my 5'2" frame well. However, the seams on one of them was off. When I wore it, the seam would wrap around my leg to the front and be very uncomfortable and strange-looking. So, I ordered another pair assuming that it was a defect in the first pair. Nope, same thing with the second. So I returned them both. This happened over a few months and sales of me trying to convince myself they would work, until finally, with my fourth pair, I accepted that these just won't work.
Skip forward to about two months later, I saw another blogger (Abby over at Seven & Stitch) wearing these pants from J Crew Factory, and I was so excited. A J Crew Mercantile (it's basically the same thing) had just opened up in Indianapolis, and these pants looked so promising! So I went and tried them and of course they were (almost) perfect. A tad long, because they don't have petites at the Factory store, but it's nothing a little tailoring can't fix!! (ps. They also come in navy and a burgundy!) Overall, I am so happy with them!! And for a good price, it's 100% worth it. I am excited for them to be a staple in my work wardrobe.
