You've Got Mustard On Your Sweater

You've Got Mustard On Your Sweater

Okay, so technically the color of this sweater is "dirty olive" but it sort of falls into the mustard category, right? It's a color that is borderline unpleasant, but I think it kind of works. I've never been one to think that anything in the yellow family would look good on me because I have a fairer skin tone and reddish hair - it's just been a color I've always avoided. But when I saw this sweater I decided to take the plunge and try it because I own nothing similar - it also comes in blush, cream, and stripes but I own so many items in those colors already. I honestly didn't think I would like the mustard this much! Paired with black and denim blues it subdues it slightly and pulls it more into the cool shades. I can see pairing it with white jeans on those cooler summer nights and black jeans for dinner out. What do you think of color like this that are typically shied away from?
