Travel à la Mode: Lamanai Mayan Ruins in Belize
Nate and I didn't take a lot of photos while on our Christmas vacation, mainly due to being on the beach or in the water all day long, but one thing we were excited to capture was photos of our trip to Mayan ruins! Any photos we did take you can see on my Insta. We went to Lamanai ruins while in Belize and it was so incredible! Of course in a rainforest you're going to get rain, so ignore my soaked hair and (sometimes) clothes in the photos. Sadly, I actually did my hair that day, but oh well :) Totally worth it! It stopped raining enough so that we were able to climb to the top of a Mayan temple and man, was the view stunning. This is just one of those places where you have to be there to really realize how beautiful it is. I liked this site as it isn't one of the "popular" ones like Tulum or Chichen Itza so it was a little less crowded and more remote - not quite so touristy. You have to take a half hour boat ride to even get there. Definitely a highlight of our trip! Have any of you been to Mayan ruins? Which ones?
